Healthy Eating
It's well-documented that eating a healthy, well-balanced diet is vital for our well-being. The Wellbeing Hub will offer opportunities for all community members to explore healthy eating options through educational workshops, demo classes, and guidance on more nutritious alternatives.

Grow Free Trolley
Our Grow Free Trolley at Holdfast Bay Community Centre is a shared community resource that offers a simple, practical way to share surplus home-grown produce, garden harvests, and pantry items. Located on the front verandah near the entry, the trolley runs on goodwill and is accessible at all times of the day, making it easy to share food and avoid waste.
We love seeing how gardeners, families, neighbours, and cultural groups use the trolley, and the many ways food brings people together. If you’re visiting the community centre, feel free to stop by, enjoy what’s on offer, and share how the trolley supports you or your household.
This is a community-led initiative, shaped by the people who use it, and everyone is welcome to take part.

Social Connection
Feeling connected to the community is an important part of our wellbeing. It can influence our mental and physical wellbeing. Participating in community groups, events, and workshops can help us build more connections and enhance our sense of belonging.
Relief in times of need
Everyone faces difficult times. If you’re currently in a situation that requires more immediate help, our community has support available. Visit our Emergency Support page to find local services.
Get Involved
Whether it’s supporting a cause you care about or lending a hand in your local community, volunteering can boost your wellbeing in meaningful ways. It can help reduce stress, build confidence, spark new friendships, and bring a sense of fulfilment that comes from making a genuine difference.
The Wellbeing Hub continues to grow thanks to the ideas, feedback and experiences of our community. We welcome your suggestions for future wellbeing initiatives, activities or resources you’d like to see offered. Your input helps us ensure the Hub remains relevant, inclusive and responsive to local needs.
Check out our Wellbeing Hub Journey below, which highlights how the Hub has evolved since it began and the milestones we’ve reached together so far.
