Planning an Event

The City of Holdfast Bay is a vibrant premier event location that hosts more than 340 events annually. Several foreshore areas and reserves are available for hire. They can be used for various activities and events, including fun runs and walks, vehicle displays, cycling races, beach volleyball, art festivals, and more.

Valuable tools and information are available to assist you in designing, planning, and executing your event. Please read through this documentation before submitting your event application.

Event applications are now closed for the 2024/2025 season.
We are accepting event applications for the 2025/2026 season for events that will be held from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.

Filming Application

Film companies, educational institutions, film studios, television stations, and the general public are welcome to use the City of Holdfast Bay's streets and reserves for media production. Before doing so, you may need a filming permit.
