New route for Glenelg Christmas Pageant
The Glenelg Christmas Pageant returns to Jetty Road on Sunday 24 November 2024 - but it’ll be starting from and finishing at a new location.
The pageant kicks off at 10.30am from the intersection of Gordon / Partridge Streets due to construction works taking place at the Brighton Road end of Jetty Road, which is part of the multi-million dollar transformation of Jetty Road, Glenelg.
The parade will travel along Jetty Road to Colley Terrace, all the way along to the Anzac Highway roundabout - giving more people the chance to cheer on all our amazing floats, dancers, musicians and the big man in red, Santa.
Road closures will be in place from very early on the morning of the pageant and the tram will terminate at stop 15, just east of Brighton Road for the duration of the pageant.
Following the pageant, head to Moseley Square to support young entrepreneurs who’ll be selling their wares at the Maker Markets or pop past the Glenelg Town Hall to have a free photo with Santa and share your Christmas wish list with him.
If you want to be part of the pageant, float registrations close this Friday, 18 October 2024.
We are accepting registrations from community groups, schools, businesses, and performance groups looking to bring the magic to Jetty Road.
We are looking for lots of colour, music, magic, and, most importantly, floats and characters that celebrate the spirit of Christmas.
