Arts Opportunities & Grants

Arts Opportunities & Grants

The City of Holdfast Bay offers a range of opportunities for artists, creatives, and performers living and working in our city. Whether you are emerging or professional, artists can be supported in many ways in their creative practice.

We value the opportunity to connect people through creativity and provide workshops to encourage people to learn new skills, expand their thinking, or tap into their creative side. If you are interested in facilitating a creative workshop, we would like to hear your ideas.

SALA Festival 2025

The South Australian Living Artist SALA festival will be held in August 2025, and we encourage artists and businesses to get involved and register their SALA exhibitions in Holdfast Bay. SALA is the largest open-access visual arts festival in Australia. Not only does it provide the opportunity for a diverse range of artists to showcase their artworks, but it also promotes and attracts visitors to SALA venues. For the whole month of August, audiences can explore, engage and discover art by South Australian artists in a diverse range of unique spaces across the state.

The City of Holdfast Bay is a strong supporter of the SALA festival and values what the festival brings to the community. Read more about the SALA key dates and how you can get involved.
