Once Santa has made his way down Jetty Road and Colley Terrace after the Glenelg Christmas Pageant, you will be able to visit Santa and Mrs Claus in the Gallery of the Bay Discovery Centre between 11.30am and 3pm.
The ticket booth will be under a white marquee in the Bay Discovery Centre building, opposite the foreshore playground, and will open from 11 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.
- Tickets are free.
- Tickets are distributed for 15-minute time slots, with the first session beginning at 11.30am, and the last session at 2.45pm.
- Ticket holders cannot join the queue until 5 minutes before the start of their session time.
- There will be no professional photographer, but we encourage you to take photos on your devices.
We will set up an area for you and your family to safely queue when it is time to get in line to see Santa with shade provided. There will also be a pram parking bay.
This year, we are very excited to add a maker market element to the Glenelg Christmas Pageant event.
In Moseley Square you will find a series of young markers, designers and creatives aged 10 - 25 who will be selling their wares. With a wide range of crafted items, be sure to come along and show them your support.
The Young Maker's Market will be open for sale from 9:30am - 3pm.
To make the Glenelg Christmas Pageant welcoming for everyone in our community, a dedicated accessible viewing area will be located at the junction of Jetty Road and Moseley Street for people in wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
- An accessible toilet will be available at this location, along with additional access parking and a drop-off zone.
- Accessible toilets will also be available on Partridge Street, Bouchee Walk and near the Rotunda on Colley Terrace.
- For the first time in pageant history, a dedicated sensory space will be found inside the Glenelg Community Centre for visitors who may need to take some time away from the noise and excitement of the pageant. The Sensory Room will be open from 9am – 12pm.
With so many cafes and restaurants down Jetty Road, you will be spoilt for choice but if you need something quick whilst you wait for Santa, the lovely volunteers from the Rotary Club of Glenelg will have their BBQ fired up from 11am to 3pm for a quick sausage sizzle.

This year's Glenelg Christmas Pageant will start from and finish at a new location.
The pageant kicks off at 10.30am from the intersection of Gordon / Partridge Streets due to construction at the Brighton Road end of Jetty Road, which is part of the multi-million dollar transformation of Jetty Road, Glenelg.
The parade will travel west along Jetty Road to Colley Terrace and all the way to the Anzac Highway roundabout, giving more people the chance to cheer on all our amazing floats, dancers, musicians, and the big man in red, Santa.
Road closures will be in place from very early on the morning of the pageant, and the tram will terminate at stop 15, just east of Brighton Road, for the duration of the pageant.
If you miss seeing the Glenelg Christmas Pageant in real life, you can watch it on screen.
Once again we are partnering with Adelaide's community broadcaster Channel 44, to present a delayed telecast of the 2024 Glenelg Christmas Pageant.
Stream it on CTV+ here: https://ctvplus.org.au/stream/adelaide/
