With the start of daylight savings also comes a change to the rules about unleashed dogs on the beach.
Dogs must be on a lead between 10am and 8pm, during daylight saving hours. Outside of those times, dogs can be off-lead but under effective control.
Among those already doing the right thing is a very familiar face at Brighton – Hungarian Vizsla Blue, who’s also our Holdfast Hound for October.
Blue’s a constant companion of beach volunteer Anthea Williams who regularly weeds her patch of the dunes and collects rubbish that has come through the stormwater system.
If you see Blue and Anthea on the beach, say hi and lend Anthea a hand as she does her best to keep our beaches clean.
