Winter fun

The Winter Fun School Holiday Program is running from Monday 9 July to Sunday 22 July 2018. There is a range of different activities on offer for different ages and interests spread across the Council area.

Registrations for the Winter Fun School Holiday Program will open on Monday 18 June 2018. Bookings are essential and places will fill up fast so make sure to book to secure your spot. 

Terms and conditions apply for each workshop, please ensure you read these carefully prior to purchasing tickets.

The Shine Project

Encouraging discussion of important issues such as body image, self-confidence and peer pressure in a safe and supportive environment participants will be guided towards achieving feelings of self-acceptance, skills for personal empowerment and resilience, improved communication and a greater understanding about who they are.

When: 1pm to 3pm, 9, 12, 16 and 19 July 2018

SciWorld Magic Show- SOLD OUT

Macramé Owl Making Workshop- SOLD OUT

Would you like to learn the art of Macramé and create a cute and quirky owl to take home? Come and join Kate from Nature Crafts for Kids for this fun 2 hour workshop at the Holdfast Bay Community Centre.

Monster Music Event - SOLD OUT

El Ritmo South American Experience

Join El Ritmo for a fun Latin dance workshop.  Come and learn about the South American countries, traditions and its music.  Introduce your child to the joy of dance and Spanish language and jump to experience this magnificent culture!

Mr Scientifibubble

How are bubbles created? Why do they pop? What shapes and colours can bubbles make? Is a bubble a solid, a liquid or a gas? What is it like to be inside a bubble? What is surface tension?Children will discover all of this and much more as Marty engages their natural sense of wonder with his interactive bubbly experiments

Family Yoga - LIMITED PLACES REMAINING

Join us for a for a yoga class designed around family partner work. Suitable for people at any level of fitness or flexibility, this family yoga class will be fun, joyful and inclusive, with individual family members encouraged to participate according to their ability and different body types. Classes include yoga games and partner yoga all easily adaptable to families with more than one child in the class.

Baby and Toddler Disco- SOLD OUT

The Baby Disco is a wonderful opportunity to hit the dance floor with your little ones.  Great disco music including disco lighting, bubbles, tunnels and a huge balloon drop.

Christmas in July at Winter Wonderland

Join HoldUp Youth Committee for a night of Christmas fun at the Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Rink. Get into the Christmas theme with Christmas music and decorations. Make sure you wear your best Christmas outfit because we'll be awarding prizes for best dressed.

Positive Mental Health for Teens - CANCELLED

We all need a little help from time to time especially when it comes to our mental health and this youth focused workshop will help you to understand common mental health conditions; how to look after yourself and your friends; where to get help if you are concerned about yourself or someone else and tips to build your resilience.

Provide CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) - CANCELLED

This session is designed to provide participants with the essential principals, knowledge and skills to maintain breathing and circulation in any emergency situation on adults, children and infants. As a kids/youth only session this is a great opportunity to learn essential lifesaving skills in a small tailored environment.
