Summer fun

The Summer Fun School Holiday Program is running from Monday 18 December 2017 to Friday 26 January 2018. There are a range of different opportunities on offer for different ages and interests across the Council area.

Bookings are essential and places are going fast so make sure to book to secure your spot. Please note that registrations will close 24 hours prior to each activity, unless otherwise stated.

Terms and conditions apply for each workshop, please ensure you read these carefully prior to purchasing tickets.

Up and Drumming Workshop

Join Linda from Up and Drumming in the beautiful gardens of Partridge House for this fun, energising drumming workshop. Learn simple rhythms and drumming techniques on your individual drum and basic skills in percussion and drumming.

Mandalas and More Workshop

Come and help create a series of marvellous mandalas and creative art at Seacliff Beach. Join artist Sue Norman in a fun workshop where you can experiment and get creative rock stacking, sand balling, rock painting and drawing mandalas in the sand.
Parents and caregivers are asked to stay, play and have fun creating too.

Ultimate Water Wars

Wild water fun! Children will be led through a series of fun water sport challenges designed to get them drenched and laughing. Then they will be split into two teams for the Water Wars to begin. Each Child will be equipped with a Water Tag vests and armed with Stream Machine water guns for some serious summer fun!

EB Netball Clinics

EB Netball are running 2 sessions at the new Kauri Parade netball courts. Due to Erin’s commitments in Victoria, she is unable to attend these clinics but we will have some excellent coaches who represent the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Premier League.

Life Skills for School Leavers- Banking

Join registered teacher Kobe Rebbeck presenting a workshop on the basics of banking, including navigating: savings accounts, loans, credit cards, budgeting and more.

Film Workshop for Teens

Teens with a keen interest in further studies or a career in acting may like an opportunity to quiz international
Filmmaker, Paulo Castro and Adelaide actor Nick Bennett at an Arts by the Sea special workshop.

Under the direction and guidance of Paulo and Nick, participants at this 3 hour workshop will write a script, shoot the scenes and show their mini-film at the end of the session.

Arts by the Sea Theatre Workshop

Do you have a budding actor in the family? Or perhaps a child who is a little shy? In the upcoming school holidays, both may benefit from the Play & Improvisation Theatre Workshop led by international director Paulo Castro of Stone/Castro Theatre Company and Adelaide actor Nick Bennett.

Arts by the Sea will host Paulo who has starred in Channel 9 series Plonk and ABC’s The Worst Alien in the World, alongside Nick from ABC’s ANZAC Girls to lead participants through games, exercises and improvisations to play with their voice, physicality and acting skills.

Santos Tour Down Under Stage 3 Start

Join us from 9.30am on Jetty Road to wave off the riders as they depart on their 144km race towards Victor Harbor on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Thursday 18 January 2018
9.30am - The Tour Parade arrives with Tour Parade sponsor vehicles handing out goodies to the crowd. 
10am - Professional Riders and Team cars arrive for sign on.
11am - World Tour Race starts.
