The annual National Photographic Portrait Prize is the National Portrait Gallery’s most popular exhibition promoting the very best in contemporary
photographic portraiture by both professional and aspiring Australian photographers tours the country.
Each year, the exhibition of finalists travels to regional galleries around the country.
The portraits reflect the distinctive vision of Australia’s aspiring, professional portrait photographers, and the unique nature of their subjects.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize 2016 exhibition will be on display, at Bay Discovery Centre, from 9 June until 23 July 2017.
